WHAT'S A PLACEMENT?

If you are super focused and career-orientated, then a volunteer placement could be just the thing for you. This is a great way to stregthen your CV by gaining practical skills and work experience.

Whether you know what you want or whether you're still figuring things out, placements are an excellent way to experience real working environments. Ever wonder whether you have what it takes to go into a certain profession? Well this is your opportunity to test the waters before taking the plunge.

Placements don't have to be serious stepping stones into your future career, maybe you just want to unwind on a regular basis. Opportunities range from working in Colchester Zoo to coordinating activites for disadvantaged children. Your volunteer placement could lead you anywhere... Maybe even a treetop adventure course.

Expect to commit a minimum of 4 hours per week for a minimum of 4 weeks. Check out the available opportunities and make sure applications are submitted before their deadline.
