Transcripts and certificates
We work in partnership with Gradintelligence (also known as Gradintel) to provide you with an official digital certification of your results and award.
All documents bear the signature of the University's Academic Registrar and the Vice Chancellor. These documents are tamper proof and can be shared with anyone you choose, as verification of your achievements.
Documents will only become available following the Progress and Award Examination panel that your award has been conferred at. When your documents are ready you will receive an activation email from Gradintel.
For those of you with an award eligible for graduation, you will also receive a hard copy certificate on your graduation day. Any student that graduates in absentia will have their certificate posted out to their confirmed home address, after the graduation ceremonies have taken place.

From 2024 we no longer issue paper copy transcripts. If you require a hard copy these are available via our online store. A fee is charged for this service.

Registering with Gradintel
You will receive an email asking you to register with Gradintelligence. You will then receive a welcome email which will enable you to complete the activation process and access your digital documents. When you activate your account you can create your own Gradintelligence username and password. You can continue to use these to log in to Gradintelligence after you have left the University.

Transcripts for alumni (awarded before 2023)
If you were awarded from the University before July 2023 your transcript and certificate cannot be hosted on Gradintelligence. However, we can provide a printed copy upon request. A fee will be charged for this service and you can order by accessing the online store.
Copies can be collected from the Information Services Desk or posted by standard Royal Mail to an address provided. For an additional fee, documents can be sent by DHL Courier Service.
Please allow up to 10 working days for your documents to be produced.
Replacement certificates
Former students who have graduated with a York St John University award can request a replacement certificate in the event that the original has been lost, stolen or damaged.
You can only order a single replacement certificate as only one copy of your certificate may be in existence at any one time (although you can order further certified copies of your certificate if required).
