Community Engagement Volunteer

We have an exciting new volunteer opportunity to support two new projects in the Suffolk area. The aim of this volunteer role is to promote community engagement and support referrals of young people into our personal development and employability programmes in these areas and build long-lasting relationships with varied stakeholders. This will involve being responsible for developing and maintaining strong, positive and long-lasting relationships with a wide range of stakeholder groups at a local level, including but not limited to public sector and local government bodies, community and voluntary sector services.

 

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Support us between 2 – 7 hours a week,
  • Speak to Young people about our programme.
  • Understand the needs of our young people and what their goals and ambitions are.
  • Develop and build strong, long lasting relationships with varied stakeholders.
  • You will be supported by one of our friendly programme executives in the role.
When: Times to suit individual
Duration: 2 - 7 hours as week
Training (if applicable): Local volunteer mentoring training will be provided in addition to online Moodle training modules.
Transport provided: No
Event on Colchester Campus: No
Hours of commitment required: 2 - 7 hours a week
