Colchester Round Table are a local charity/social group looking for volunteers to help with this year’s Santa Sleigh.
Every December Santa comes to town for two weeks, visiting the local community with his helpers to meet and greet the children of Colchester and collect donations for local charities. Last year they raised over £9000 that was shared between local organisations including St. Helena Hospice, Colchester Foodbank, Robin Cancer Trust, and others.
But we need help to get through the routes and are looking for 4 volunteers per evening to assist with this.
The volunteering will mostly include knocking on doors to collect donations and handing out sweets to kids waiting for Santa along the route.
You will leave campus at approximately 5pm for the taxi pickup, which will take you to the day's location. You will meet Colchester Round Table usually around 5.45pm and the routes will take around 1.5-2hrs maximum. You will then get a taxi back to campus, all organised and paid for by VTeam. The dates/areas you can sign up for are:

6/12 – Shrub End
7/12 – Riverside
8/12 – Maldon Road
12/12 – Newtown
13/12 – Prettygate
14/12 – Wheatfield
15/12 – Myland and Braiswick
19/12 – St Michael’s Estate
20/12 – West Bergholt

Please note that as only 4 volunteers can attend each session, if you sign up after this limit has been reached then you'll be added to a waiting list in case of cancellations. VTeam will email you if this is the case.
