Origami Regular Project

This project is for those volunteers who want to get creative, but squirm at the idea of accidently getting ketchup in their hair or glue on their clothes. Origami is widely known to help destress - the satisfaction of making perfect folds and the paper related ASMR all lead to an hour of bliss. If the first thing you do when you buy a new book is sniff the pages, then origami is for you. Each week, the Origami regular project goes into primary schools, as well as the occasional care home. Volunteers, children and the elderly all get joy out of watching their delicately folded creations come to life! The limits are endless; you can make anything from a whale to mouse. National holidays will bring added excitement, as sessions will be themed. Last Halloween, the Origami project made witches, broomsticks and bats, each with varying levels of difficulty but equal amounts of fun. Sessions may even include a short lesson on some of the myths and legends of origami, for example, the power of folding 100 cranes. So whether you prefer the rowdiness of a classroom or the tranquillity and cosiness of a care come, origami is for everyone. No experience necessary, the project committee will give you all the training you need and VTeam will supply you with enough paper to build a ladder to the moon.
